Excavation of the rear yard enables creation of a useful outdoor space adjacent to the new bedrooms.

A side and rear extension creates space at the rear of the building for a main bedroom and ensuite.

The rear of the house had the kitchen and living rooms at the rear (western) end of the building. The unfortunately resulted in the sea side terrace at the east end being useful to the occupants of the eastern most bedroom only. There were no sea views from the living rooms.
