MAROUBRA APARTMENTS 1

These two-bedroom two-storey apartments are across the road from the ocean, so enjoy panoramic sea views. Both sun drenched apartments have large open plan living areas with timber deck balconies. A mansard roof style allows this three storey building to resemble the predominantly two storey neighbouring buildings. Low maintenance rust resistant zinc sheeting is used upstairs. Marine grade anodised external louvres offer adjustable sun protection. A cafe/restaurant is provided on the ground floor. Approval for this project was obtained from Randwick Council in the Eastern Suburbs of Sydney.

Pre-weathered Zinc Titanium sheet standing seam roofing provides a low maintenance environmentally friendly solution.

Apartment 1 enjoys spectacular views over the ocean north of Maroubra bay. Kitchens feature reconstituted stone benchtops and glass splashbacks. Lighting is energy efficient LED with flourescent tube pelmut lights.

Low-E glass is used on the northern side to reduce solar heat gains and provide thermal comfort. A discrete balcony serves the eastern (left) apartment. A stepped roofline (top centre) provides a separate identity for both apartments

Apartment 2 enjoys afternoon sun and a garden outlook from the balcony. High quality fittings such as dual motor Qasair foldaway rangehoods are used, with a mix of local and European appliances.
