LEICHHARDT APARTMENTS 1

A dual occupancy is renovated to substantially replace one unit and provide acoustic and fire rated construction for BCA compliance throughout for strata title subdivision into two apartments. A new open plan living/dining/kitchen is provided, along with a laundry, bathroom, a wider stairway, wide glazed doors onto a new timber deck with a glazed pergola and landscaping.

Approval for this renovation was obtained from Inner West Council of Sydney. The project was tendered and the building contract administered by Dunn Architects.

Sliding doors provide easy access to an elevated deck with wide and gentle steps down to the sunny north facing back yard in this Leichhard apartment.

The left had apartment had suffered from poor access to the back yard, poor natural light and poor natural ventilation.

A new entry door, deck and windows are provided to the right hand unit. New fencing, rainwater tanks and stormwater disposal are installed to meet Inner West Council requirements.
