Maroubra

This semi-detached home adjoins a neighbouring building which presented a number of design problems. The proposed design, currently under construction, adopts the bay window and roof shape of its neighbour but provides a more contemporary mix of materials with cedar windows and flat terracotta roof tiles. The building incorporates five bedrooms, two bathrooms and walk in wardrobes

Flat terracotta tile roof with exposed rafter ends provide a detail and interest
High profile weatherboard on bay windows, with sandstone, add diversity and provides an historic reference back to the original style of the area
High profile “Linea” fibre cement weatherboard economically distinguishes the rear from the more homogenous street front materials
High profile “Linea” fibre cement weatherboard gives strong shadow lines.
Pergolas and external louvres control afternoon sun on the western side.
